The smart Blueair Classic 480i Air Purifier completely filters the air in spacious rooms up to 434 square feet. This new upgraded Classic model is equipped with built-in air quality sensors that monitor your indoor air quality in real-time. These intelligent sensors will then automatically adjust your settings as necessary, to ensure your air quality remains at a comfortable and healthy level.

Blueair's Integrated Sensors automatically adjust to changing conditions in your environment. These built-in air quality sensors make it easy to keep your air virtually free of asthma and allergy triggers and indoor air pollutants such as mold, dust, pet dander, and pollen. Not only do these air quality sensors adjust your air purifier settings as necessary, on their own, but they also let you know when air quality conditions become compromised. Blueair's WiFi-enabled HEPA/carbon air purifier will alert you when it detects harmful PM 2.5 (particulate size commonly known to cause illnesses) or VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

This Wi-Fi Enabled air purifier allows you to easily adjust settings remotely from your smartphone and tablet via the "Blueair Friend" Smartphone App (available in Apple & Google Play Stores). You can also connect with your Amazon Alexa-enabled device for voice control. With the Blueair Friend app, you have complete control to monitor your air quality in real-time. You can also adjust the fans speed appropriately, or you can set it to auto mode and let Blueair do the work for you. The timer conveniently allows you to adjust your settings based on your schedule. In particular, you can schedule night mode for the hours you want your purifier whisper silent and emitting no light.

HEPASilent™ Filtration:

The Blueair Classic HEPASilent™ particulate filter material traps 99.97% of bacteria, viruses, mold, pollen, dust, dander, and allergens down to 2.5 microns. This material is comprised of millions of tiny layered fibers, each a different size. These layered fibers are formed into a pleated design. Blueair's integral filtration design allows the filter to trap and absorb more particulates and pollutants without decreasing airflow rates, thereby reducing energy consumption and creating a quieter air purifier. The Blueair 480i air purifier is also equipped with an ionizer. This ionizer releases negatively charged ions that adhere to smaller incoming particles. Once this happens, the small ionized particulates become attracted to the positively charged filter material and are effectively trapped there.

Blueair's Dual Protection Filter features a layer of naturally sourced activated coconut carbon pellets incorporated with the existing HEPASilent™ filter material. This added layer helps absorb smoke, exhaust, smog, gasses, odors, chemicals, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Dual Protection filters naturally and effectively filter out airborne gaseous pollutants up to 4x faster than other Blueair carbon filters.

When Changing the Filter on your 480i HEPA/carbon air purifier, simply open the back panel, slide the used filter out, and replace with the new Blueair filter, making sure it is facing the correct way. The Classic i series filter indicator located on the hidden control panel will alert you by glowing red when the filter needs to be changed. It can also alert you within the "Blueair Friend" Smartphone App as well.

The Blueair Classic 480i's Design is simple and sleek with a white finish and durable stainless-steel construction. A hidden flip-open control panel contributes to the unit’s minimalistic feel. The practical caster wheels help to easily move your purifier within your home.
