Product Notes:

• Because allergen protection is the number one reason to purchase pillow and mattress encasings, Elegance covers are made from a high performance, 100% polyester microfiber fabric that blocks all dust mite allergen and most other particles as small as cat dander.
• They offer all of this protection while remaining breathable and cool beneath your sheets, so you always sleep comfortably.
• Mattress covers can only trap bed bugs that are hiding on your mattress. You should also encase your box springs in an affordably-priced BedCare Economy encasing to complete your bedding protection for both bed bugs and allergens. However, these covers will not protect you from other bed bugs hiding in your bedroom. For complete elimination of bed bugs from your bedroom and your home, you will need to contact a pest extermination specialist who understands how to rid your home of bed bugs.
• 18" deep mattress encasings for queen & king sizes only. Be sure to check the depth of your mattress before ordering as most sizes are available in 9", 12", and 15" depths.
• And we take extra care in the design and construction of Elegance encasings with features such as covered zippers, bound seams and side panels to give them a perfect fit even after repeated washings.
• Mean pore size of 2.9 microns.

Best Steps for Bed Bug Control:

You may already have bed bugs and are working to eliminate the infestation or you may be working to prevent a bed bug infestation. Either way, BedCare mattress and box spring encasings should be part of your plan.

By covering your bedding with zippered bedbug-proof covers, you are protecting the investment you have made in your mattress and box spring because you will not need to dispose of them due to bed bugs.

All 6 of our BedCare encasing fabrics (Elegance, Ultra, Supreme, Classic, Basics, & DuraTEK) have been tested by an independent lab and the data show that bed bugs can not pass through these fabrics, can not bite through these fabrics, and eggs can not pass through these fabrics or zippers. Therefore bed bugs outside the encasing can not get through to your mattress and box spring to hide or lay eggs, and any bed bugs inside the encasing can not get out to re-infest your home.

NOTE: Zippered bedbug-proof covers cannot protect you from bed bugs hiding in other areas of your bedroom or home such as behind headboards or inside wall sockets. For complete elimination, you will need to contact a pest extermination specialist who understands how to rid your home of bed bugs.

•   Addie - 11/23/11 19:11 pm This mattress cover is very soft and silky. Beautiful construction and nice quality fabric. It is not hot to sleep on and it does not make any crinkly noise when you move in bed. It's not the easiest task to put this on a mattress by yourself.
  
  The big negative for me is that I have a Sleep Number bed. It has a tube that come out at one end of the bed that runs out to the device that pumps air into the mattress. If the zipper would close from two sides instead of just one, the mattress would be nearly fully enclosed - with the single direction zipper, about 1/2 of the zippered end can't be closed due to the tube. I'm guessing there are other exceptions with other mattress types. It would be nice if there was a option for this type of mattress

I'd gotten a new thicker mattress, so needed a different depth cover. That previous mattress cover had excellent durability - I'm expecting the same. This new cover is softer then the previous one - works better with a plush mattress.

•   Jody - 8/3/10 22:35 pm This mattress cover is oversized for my Cal-King Tempurpedic mattress (a deep mattress with a topper). I didn't mind that because it made it easier to slip onto the heavy mattress however it has torn along the seam. The fabric may be tightly woven but it is also thin...and slippery so it moves around.
  
  The stitching did not come apart, the fabric itself tore next to the seam. Which also has me wondering, why are the stitches 1/8" apart? That's regular stitch length. I would have thought they needed to be closer together to keep the mites from escaping.
  
  BTW it is tearing where the edge of the mattress is, at the spot where I sit just before getting into bed (or out of bed). If the mattress were a clock the fray would be at 9 o'clock.
