EPA-registered Vital Oxide is a broad-spectrum, antimicrobial solution proven to perform against a wide variety of molds, mildews, fungi, spores, and yeasts. Vital Oxide Antibacterial Spray has been independently tested under GLP conditions and shown to kill bacteria and viruses such as MRSA, H1N1 (Swine Flu), Norovirus, Legionella pneumophila, and E. coli. • Vital Oxide is an environmentally safe alternative to chlorine cleaners and disinfectants. 
• This Antibacterial Spray is tough on mold and bacteria anywhere! Use Vital Oxide in shower stalls, under sinks, on kitchen counters, diaper pails, at schools or daycares, on sports equipment, in basements and crawl spaces - anywhere mold or bacteria are found. Vital Oxide can also be used in a fogger for big jobs.
• Note: Moms find it great to clean and sanitize toys safely and easily - especially bathtub toys!
• The active ingredient in Vital Oxide is chlorine dioxide which sounds like chlorine, but it's not. Chlorine dioxide and chlorine are very different, react differently, and result in different by-products (see chart below). Vital Oxide is safe for your family and the environment and has absolutely no chlorine smell. (Vital Oxide is odorless; however, if you have previously used a chlorine-based product on the surface you are treating, Vital Oxide could react with any residue causing you to notice the smell of chlorine.)

An independent study by the University of Tulsa showed that Vital Oxide was effective in controlling fungal contamination on building materials. Sheetrock treated with Vital-Oxide exhibited no fungal growth as compared to significant mold growth on the untreated control sample. In another test, one ceiling tile was treated with Vital-Oxide, while only sterile water was applied to the other. Then both were exposed to toxic black mold (stachybotrys). •   Carolyn - 10/19/11 8:29 am Moving into a condo that has been unoccupied (except for mice!) for 3 years. Using Vitaloxide on mold, musty odor and disinfecting. Good results! No perfume or chemical smells from this product! I will always have a bottle of this on hand!

•   deemac - 8/4/11 19:53 pm Love this product. I use it for general disinfecting plus killing and preventing mold & mildew. My A/C doesn't work very well on really hot days in my carpeted bedroom and I started getting a stuffy nose and noticing a musty smell. I sprayed Vital Oxide throughout the bedroom and voila! no more stuffy nose or musty smell.

•   A.L. - 3/9/11 19:44 pm Keeps the bathroom shower tiles and bottom of curtain liner mold-free. I use it on tiles daily after squeegeeing tiles and tub rim. Have used it to freshen a futon and at the base of metal window frames for mold. No fumes. Great product.

•   Christy - 7/21/10 13:45 pm This is a fantastic product. It is so safe you can eat it (which distinguishes it from other mold cleaners). It is effective but might require a bit of patience for heavily built-up mold in showers. I love it!
