•   Susan - 5/21/13 0:41 am I actually buy this for my boyfriend as he has some sort of allergies to chemicals in products purchased from the store - not when applied to the skin but whatever gets into the air when product is used.

I noticed this when I went away for a month and didn't use the shampoo and conditioner. The difference is striking.

My hair is clean, soft and bouncey; and I do NOT itch anymore. I wish I knew about this years ago!!

My husband and I both use the shampoo (leaves my hair clean and fresh), the gel (hold the style), hair spray (hubby uses it and it doesn't make me ill, and the cleanser (gentle on my skin). Thank you Free and Clear. It is wonderful to have toiletries that work so well, don't have any unpleasant odors, and are safe to use.

•   Anon - 12/28/11 11:33 am I use this shampoo 4 times a week (alternating with T-Sal from Neutrogena) and it works great. No smells or anything. I have to alternate because of my seborrheic dermatitis but they work good together. Will continue using both the shampoo and conditioner.

•   Shawna - 9/6/11 20:26 pm Finally a shampoo and conditioner that doesn't make my scalp break out in eczema! I'm so excited it's ridiculous. I've told all of my friends and family about it and can't say enough good about it. It doesn't lather up like a traditional shampoo but my hair still feels clean and looks healthy and best of all my scalp isn't all ouchie and bleedy. :)

•   Tara - 8/28/11 11:58 am I really like this product. There is no fragrance so my scalp does not itch. It really does help with my allergies. The only negative is that I feel it does not give my hair the moisture that it needs. But all in all, a great product! I will continue to use it.

•   Sandra - 4/27/11 0:08 am This shampoo and conditioner leaves my scalp so clean. I no longer have soap build up that created patches of dry skin. The only problem I have is the electrical charge I get when I open a new bottle and remove the metal insert. This also happens with just putting the shampoo in my hand. The hospital pharmacy where I bought it was doubtful, but one zap and she was convinced. Small issue when you consider how great the shampoo works.

I have had the worst time finding skin and hair products that didn't break me out in hives. Not only does this line not break me out in hives, but the shampoo and conditioner have left my hair in the best shape it has ever been in. My frizz has tamed down, and my hair has that healthy shine again. I've finally found a product that works well and is safe for me.

•   Mary-Lynn - 2/6/11 22:23 pm Great products overall. The shampoo leaves my hair more tangled than regular shampoos but the use of the conditioner takes care of that issue. Love the Vanicream soap!! No more dry, itchy skin. The hand lotion and hand soap are great too. They're all a little pricey but the results are worth it for me and all my skin issues.

•   Charlene A - 11/22/10 13:24 pm I have multiple sensitivities which result in rashes or migraines, I also have eczema, and a honey allergy (which is found in many shampoos & conditioners, lotions & soaps). This product and line of products have been wonderful! I recommend them to friends, family, coworkers, and patients. They report back positive experiences also. We have oily hair and skin in our family as well as dry, and these work great for all of us!

I was surprised when I started using both the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo cleans my hair very well, better than any shampoo I have ever owned. The conditioner leaves my hair smooth, soft and tangle free. I will use this product indefinitely.

•   Elizabeth - 6/4/10 16:46 pm I like this product very much. My issue with other Shampoos is that I was getting bumps in my scalp. Kinda itchy. This shampoo doesn't suds up very much. I only use a dime or quarter size amount in my hand and that seems to be enough. I rinse and then use that same about in my hand again. I rinse and that's it! My hair looks and feels great. I shampoo about every other day. There is no fragrance or odor at all to this product. With other shampoos my head was itchy and my hair and scalp wwere either too dry or too oily. I would recommend this product highly.

  Update 11/26/10:
  that was BEFORE the "New milder formula" which is virtually ALL new ingredients. (not yet reflected a/o 11/26/10 on this site) Yes, there still are no parabens, fragrances, etc which is great. But this new formula left my hair like straw and my scalp & skin itchy and broken out. Time to look for a new shampoo. What a disappointment!

•   Steve - 12/4/09 23:09 pm My chemically sensitive family needs a fragrance free shampoo we can tolerate a lot of, since we shower and wash hair every time we walk into the house. Has a chemical-ly smell when used that takes a little bit of getting used to, and quite expensive in the quantities we use, but best tolerated shampoo we've found. Have not used the conditioner or other products.
