Description

Genuine Bissell® Replacement Filter Pack ‐ Part # 1008, includes both the Pre‐Motor filter (#203‐2662) and Post‐Motor filter (#203‐2663) that come in selected Bissell ® CleanView® upright vacuum cleaners (models listed below). The yellow foam Pre‐Motor filter performs the first stage of filtration by catching very fine dust particles before they enter the machine. The white pleated Post‐Motor Filter performs the last stage of filtration ¹ by catching any residue particles before clean air is returned into the room. The foam pre‐motor filter is washable for easy maintenance. Both filters should be checked monthly, and replaced approximately every 3‐6 months to keep the vacuum performing at its best. Bissell filter pack includes 1 Pre-Motor filter and 1 Post-motor Filter.

¹	The CleanView 7636 and 8531 models additionally include a carbon pre‐motor filter (#160‐1501) for a total of three filters in these machines. The carbon pre‐filter does not come included in the #1008 filter pack.

Filter Replacement

Please see Owner's Manual tab for full instructions on changing the Pre‐Motor filter and Post‐Motor filter in your Bissell vacuum.

General on Pre‐Motor Filter:

The Pre‐Motor filter is the yellow foam filter located above the dirt tank.
Check the pre‐filter at least once a month. Clean or replace, as necessary.
The pre‐filter may be hand washed, but must be allowed to completely air dry before putting it back into the machine.
Over time and increased washings, the pre‐filter will need to be replaced.
Generally, it is a good idea to replace the Pre‐Motor filter when you replace the Post‐Motor filter.

General on Post‐Motor Filter:

The Post‐Motor filter is the white pleated filter located below the dirt tank.
Replace this filter every 3‐6 months, depending on use.
Check filter at least once a month. Clean or replace, as necessary.
More frequent cleaning or replacing may be necessary if you are vacuuming new carpet, fine dust, or have allergy concerns.
If dust and debris has collected on the filter, you can clean it between filter changes by removing it and gently tapping on the side of a trash container.
Note: Do NOT wash the white pleated Post‐Motor filter – it is NOT washable.
