Replacement Filters For Amaircare Air Cleaners
Your Source For Amaircare Replacement Filters
Our hassle-free Activated Charcoal Pre-Filters are ready-to-use with no measuring or cutting required. Each pre-filter will last for about 3 months depending upon the environment. One way to tell it is time to replace them is by the color. They are almost black to begin with and turn a light gray color when they need to be changed. The Main HEPA Filter will last for 2 to 5 years depending upon the environment. The best way to tell it is time to replace the filter is when your machine starts to pulsate. This means that the filter is full and air is having trouble being moved through the unit. The Inner Carbon Blanket will last for about 6 months. Although many Amaircare Air Cleaners come standard with this blanket installed it is best suited for an environment with a lot of odors and is considered an optional filter. One way to tell it is time to replace the blanket is if you smell odors coming from the machine. However, odors may also indicate that one of the other filters needs to be replaced. In situations involving heavy odors, gases, vapors or chemical fumes you may use a VOC Canister in place of the inner carbon blanket. This optional canister contains 12lbs. of Carbon and Zeolite in a 60/40 mix and will last for 12 months. One way to tell it is time to replace it is when your machine starts to emit odors. This means that the Canister has absorbed all it can hold. In all cases above, the time frames listed are estimates and depend largely upon the environment. It is helpful to keep track of filter replacements for your records as following this important maintenance schedule will help preserve the life of your air cleaner. A Final Word of Caution: No air cleaner will eliminate the health risks associated with tobacco smoke.
