Bed Bug Patrol Fossil Shell Dust is a safe way to get rid of bed bugs. Bed bugs don't just live on your bed, they hide in light switches, electrical outlets, behind baseboards, inside clock radios and phones, and in crevices everywhere. Applicator bottle is included. CAUTION: As with any powder (even baby powder), do not inhale.

Apply Fossil Shell Dust along baseboards and in all openings and crevices. It may be necessary to remove light switch plates and electrical outlet covers. Applicator bottle is included.

•   BusyMary - 8/3/11 12:56 pm We purchased this item as one of the tools to eradicate and prevent further infestation of a bed bug problem. In partnership with our apartment and the pest control professional (I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH) we cleaned the apartment (mostly bedrooms) very well, were treated and got to using our tools. We encased all the mattresses and box spring (yes it did appear that we had a problem there, the most typical harborage of bed bugs) making sure to tape the frame at all sharp points with duct tape to protect the box spring encasement from being caught or torn on it. We then used elmers glue and ran a bead along the baseboards and cracks in one wooden bed structure and applied this product along the bead and left it there. I figured that if over time the loose dust was removed then not only would the glue fill gaps but there would be dust attached to it which would stay put. We also placed traps under the legs of the beds dusted with this product. So far we have found no bugs in the traps and I (the one in the family who appears to be allergic to bedbugs... and a great lure it seems) have not been bitten. The next place we move into will receive the same treatment before moving in just in case. I hope this helps. Look up bedbug registry for more info and helpful links.
