The Carpet Rake enables you to spread your carpet treatment evenly and deeply into your carpet or area rug to reach the most allergens possible. The carpet treatment powder needs to get into the carpet fibers to reach the dust mite allergen, pet allergen, and any other allergens that may have settled into the carpet. Carpet rakes help you easily do this!
The Carpet Rake comes in 5 pieces:
1 – the rake head
2 – the top of the handle with the black plastic hand grip on one end and a white tip on the other end
3 – the middle piece of the handle that is an open tube
4 – the bottom piece of the handle that has a white tip on one end and a black plastic tip on the other end.
5 – the ring that fits into the bottom of the slot on the rake head to hold the handle in place
To assemble, take the top piece of the handle and insert the white tip end into either end of the middle piece of the handle. It will push into place. Push until there is no resistance for a snug fit. Take the bottom piece of the handle and insert the white tip end into the other end of the middle piece of the handle. It will push into place. Push until there is no resistance for a snug fit. Place the black plastic ring tab side first into the bottom of the handle slot of the rake head. Then insert the black tip end of the bottom of the handle into the rake head and twist to screw into the black ring until tightened.

Specifications
The carpet rake has a 3-part 54" handle. It is 12" wide and 2" deep, so it makes quick work of just about any carpet.
Josh - 4/30/12 15:55 pmI ordered this rake from National Allergy, together with a large amount of other anti-allergen items. The rake arrived without assembly instructions, and despite applying my significant mechanical aptitude, I've been unable to assemble it into anything resembling a functional product. The tined rake portion will not attach to the handle portion despite all possible permutations being tried. This product is a complete waste of funds. I would discourage everybody from buying this product from National Allergy. I have not sourced a suitable carpet rake elsewhere, but this is worthless. I would think a regular metal-tined leaf rake would be more useful.

Christy - 5/1/11 15:53 pmI bought the rake in adjunct to the carpet treatment system and absolutely love it. I have also found that it is useful in "sweeping" our carpeted stairs. It rakes up all the dust and particles very well. I am highly allergic to dust mites so needed to wear a mask and long sleeve shirt when using it. Very Satisfied!!!

Dave - 10/16/10 12:31 pmThis is a perfect, easy way to keep my Golden Retievers' hair out of our carpet, without clogging the vacuum cleaner. In less than 5 minutes I can remove all dog hair from our 20'x30' family room. It collects 1 clump about the size of his tail, which is easily removed from the rake into the garbage can. This is the best cleaning tool I've ever had.
