The Austin Air HealthMate Plus Junior offers the same ozone-free filtration as the HealthMate Plus (just in a smaller package) to reduce the level of particles and chemicals in the air, and also remove harmful gasses and odors to give you clean air and peace of mind. Like the standard HealthMate Jr, the HealthMate Plus Jr. has 30 sq. ft. of HEPA filter material to remove 99.97% of airborne allergens. However, the HealthMate Plus Jr.'s 6.5 lbs. of granular carbon is not only impregnated with zeolite but also with potassium iodide. This means that the machine not only removes gases, vapors and fumes, but also more reactive volatile organic chemicals like ammonia and formaldehyde.
