This full-featured shower filter initially removes 99% of free chlorine, combined chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) and hydrogen sulfide (odors). After approximately 3 months of use (or 3000 gallons of water passing through), the filtering capacity decreases to 75%, and it is time to replace the filter. Carcinogenic chemicals like chlorine in our water can have long-term health effects and make chemically sensitive individuals react. Having chemical-free water can also mean softer skin and hair.
