•   willie - 8/26/12 22:05 pm I'm not sure about this product I purchased recently. It seems to clog my sinuses as oppose to giving me some type of relief. However check back a little later for my update since I've only had it a month.

•   Karen Anne - 8/2/12 12:03 pm I've had this for three years. I find it to be very helpful. In the spring when I start having a lot of post nasal drip and coughing, I run it and within a day or two my symptoms are significantly reduced. I don't use the programmable feature, so I can't speak to that.
  
  At first the "white noise" bothered me, so I'd run it when I left the house or in another room at night, but now I don't notice it much. I only run it at low speed, the higher speeds are significantly noisier. The remote is handy. Another reviewer mentioned an odor. There's never been an odor with mine. I plan to get another one for upstairs.

•   anon. - 10/20/11 14:13 pm We turn the unit on about 2 hours before going to bed on a higher speed with the bedroom door shut. Then turn it down to "low" for sleeping. Combined with weekly washing of bedding, using boric acid spray to control dust mites and so on, I have noticed lessened allergy and asthma symptoms when using the air purifier. "Lessened symptoms" doesn't sound like a very big deal, but using the purifier along with other allergen-reducing efforts can mean the difference between sleeping all night and waking up because you cannot breathe well. It's an additional, drug-free way to try to control night-time allergy symptoms and daytime fatigue. Not a cure-all. But it helps. You do, however, have to leave the bedroom and get hit with allergens and you'll feel the difference.
  UPDATE: I have replaced the carbon filter on this HEPA unit and this is easy to do.
  It was too loud to sleep with, so I started running it during the day and shutting it off at night. This arrangement works much better and does not disturb our sleep. Added a larger HEPA unit for elsewhere in the house and this helps as well.

•   Celeste - 10/18/11 13:43 pm I got this purifier based on the good reviews, however it did not help my allergies. For one there was always this odor which I kept thinking it'd go away. After a couple weeks it was faint, but it is still noticeable even now 5 weeks later. I also noticed my electricity bill was higher. Anyway I am returning the product. Note: I am having to pay for shipping it back. Be sure this is the one you want as you will be paying for shipping (approx: fifteen) [$] to buy it and then again (approx another fifteen) if you end up returning it-unless the item is damaged.

•   Kathy - 10/26/10 19:34 pm Great portable air purifier. So quiet and love that remote control. Still learning how to set up all of the machine's programmable features. I agree with Denise, it's a much better product than what you might find at discount or department stores.

•   James - 10/24/10 16:52 pm We bought this for our daughter in her college dorm room. It provides enough noise to create a good sleeping time plus cleans the air well. She has had fewer colds since adding the air purifier. The unit is easy to use and has programable settings and a remote control.

•   Denise - 6/15/10 22:01 pm Easy to set up and clean. I'm amazed at how quiet this filter is and I love the fact that it has a remote control. It's a much better product than what you'll find at a discount store. Love it!
