MOLDetect Mold Test Kit

 Get the test used by Home Inspectors and other housing professionals! MOLDetect is an easy-to-use, reliable tape-lift mold test. MOLDetect samples are carefully analyzed by mold lab professionals and identify living and non-living spores (both of which can cause reactions). Product Notes:

• Many individuals are allergic to mold. When mold spores are inhaled, they can trigger respiratory symptoms such as sinus congestion or asthma.
• However, research now shows that even people without mold allergies can experience adverse health effects from exposure. That's because some mold spores can produce mycotoxins, substances that are toxic to one or more organs of the body.
• This test can be used to:
  1. Confirm the nature of suspected microbial growth on environmental surfaces
  2. Measure the relative degree of biological contamination
  3. Identify the types of microorganisms and other biological agents present
• The MOLDetect Kit Includes:
  • Three standardized tape-strips plus one extra in case of error
  • Jumbo microscope slide
  • Detailed instruction sheet on HOW and WHERE to sample
  • Return envelope for direct delivery to the MOLDetect Laboratory
• The results of the test:
  • Within days (not weeks!) of receiving your samples, you will be sent a detailed, consumer-friendly lab report via e-mail or fax (see sample below).
  • Then, a complete packet will be mailed to you that includes a printed copy of your lab report and a booklet of helpful information. This booklet addresses the health effects of various mold types, lists handy tips for mold clean up and prevention, has answers to common questions and lists additional resources for information on mold.
