Vanicream SPF 30 Lip Protectant Product Notes:

• Many of the "twist stick" type products on the market today only protect from UVB and are mostly wax which perpetuates use without really providing your lips with an effective moisturizing vehicle.
• This long lasting, dermatologic formula uses no sensitizing chemical sunscreens, dyes, flavoring, formaldehyde, fragrance, lanolin, parabens, or preservatives.

•   Glenda - 6/21/11 22:24 pm This is excellent as a lip protectant. I spend lots of time out of doors and this saves my lips from the sun. I use it at night, too, just before going to sleep! No fancy taste or smell--just pure relief!

•   Karen - 6/18/11 13:15 pm It is white, and that is a problem. Other than that it's good. I put it on sparingly, and then cover it up with a colored gloss to help hide the white. Certainly ok for around the house or anywhere you're not worried about the white. It's a good alternative to petrolatum, application is with the tip of the tube so fingers stay clean, and there are so few lip products I can use, I manage with it. But it'd be great if it were clear. :)

•   Tawna - 2/17/11 19:12 pm It is probably great at protecting lips but you really can't wear it anywhere where you care how you look because it is WHITE. I am sure it is zinc oxide, or some such which is great a blocking the sun.
  But unless you are on a ski slope you can't wear it!!

•   Connie - 11/3/10 0:40 am Vanicream Lip Protectant feels wonderful on my lips and does a great job of preventing sun and wind burn. The only negative is that it is white instead of clear.
