Now there's an alternative to washing your bedding in extra-hot water. Just one and one-half (1 1/2) tablespoons of De-Mite in hot, warm or cold water will eliminate dust mite allergen in your bedding or clothing. Regular detergent alone won't solve the mite problem in your laundry, but De-Mite's active ingredients eliminate the allergen with each wash. Give your bedding and clothes a break from hot water washing and still solve the dust mite problem with De-Mite!

The smell is not strong, but we did run a second rinse to make sure it was all out after it did it's job of killing the mites.
