The Permatron DustEater is an electrostatic furnace filter and uses a unique Accumulator Chamber to provide efficient three-stage filtration that reduces indoor pollutants by up to 91% by weight helping to relieve many allergy symptoms. Turbulence and electrostatic forces cause small particles to fuse into larger particles so that they are trapped in the Accumulator Chamber. Any small particles that make it through are held in the second panel.  The Permatron electrostatic filter has a strong metal frame and carries a Lifetime Mfr. Warranty. And there is a welcome extra benefit - you not only get relief from many allergy symptoms, but housecleaning will be easier because there simply won't be as much dust. For best results, leave your furnace fan running year round so that air will continuously go through the Permatron DustEater Electrostatic Furnace Filter.

• No electrical hookup or special installation required.
• Permanent, lifetime, electrostatic – just wash and reuse.
• High efficiency furnace filters only catch what is circulating in your home’s air. But once the air has passed through the furnace filter, it still has to travel through the ductwork. Our special vent filters (Item #30-1006) attach to the supply vent (register) in your bedroom as a further protection from dust and allergens that have accumulated in your home’s ductwork. They’re an inexpensive way to help your bedroom further become an “allergy safe zone”.
• If you have a heat pump or if your furnace is over 10 years old, Permatron recommends the
  Permatron Easy Flow Electrostatic Air Filter.
• If you are requesting air delivery, please be aware that you may need to add 1 - 2 days to the expected delivery time.

Shipping Information:

• When you receive your new Permatron, thoroughly inspect the electrostatic filter and packaging. If you detect any damage, contact National Allergy immediately.
• Save your Permatron DustEater Electrostatic Furnace Filter original packing materials should you need to return the electrostatic filter for any reason.
• Our Agreement With Permatron Precludes Us From Shipping To PO Boxes, APO Addresses, Or To International Addresses.

Then cleaning is a snap – just rinse the Electrostatic Furnace Filter under running water every month or so.

Installation is easy, too. Just slide your old HVAC filter out and slide the Permatron filter in.

•   AKC - 8/19/10 13:19 pm Just installed it recently, so still looking forward to seeing how much debris this filter pulls out of the air. Because it's shell is rigid metal and not cardboard like the disposable ones, it did require a little effort to squeeze it into the slot. I'll post another review in a couple months to let you know how much stuff it pulled out of the air for us.
