This product provides relief from: Asthma

MicroSpacer® is an aerosol spacer device for use with metered dose inhalers (MDI). Using an MDI without a spacer often results in aerosol medication ending up in the mouth, throat, trachea, and even the stomach. In contrast, MicroSpacer very effectively delivers aerosol medication from your MDI directly to the lungs, where it is needed most. MicroSpacer is compatible with virtually all MDI products, including CFC and HFA formulations.

A "reverse-fit option" means either end of the MicroSpacer can be attached to an MDI, depending on the size of the MDI's mouthpiece. MicroSpacer is proven to be equally as effective as might be larger spacers, but is far less expensive, and much smaller and easier to use. MicroSpacer is FDA 510K approved as substantially equivalent to other spacer devices, and is the smallest aerosol spacer on the market. Replace every 4-6 months.  Box contains one (1) MicroSpacer® device, a poly bag for storage, and full instructions.

  • Optimizes MDI medication benefits by delivering more medication to the lungs
  • Clinically proven to be as effective as larger spacers, but at much less cost
  • Compatible with most MDI products, including CFC and HFA formulations
  • Attaches to MDI in seconds, and easily detaches for cleaning
  • Pocket-size design – weighs less than 1 oz, and extends MDI mouthpiece by just 1 inch
  • Smaller device size ensures adequate coordination time with spraying the inhaler
  • Ideal for children 6-12 years old, teenagers, and adults on the go
  • Easy to clean, dishwasher safe, 100% recyclable, and latex free
  • Replace every 4-6 months
  • Suitable for all ages

The MicroSpacer® device is made of a durable plastic polyethylene material.

Directions for Use:

Please carefully follow all of the directions provided with the product.

  • MicroSpacer® is very easy to use. It attaches to a metered-dose inhaler (MDI) prescribed by your doctor. Once attached to the MDI, it is ready to be used. Before using the MicroSpacer® medical device, please read and carefully follow all of the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Cleaning.  With repeated use, powder will accumulate on MicroSpacer's mouthpiece screen. This buildup may eventually interfere with effective use.
    • Wash MicroSpacer daily (or at least weekly) by running it under warm tap water, followed by drying with a soft, lint-free cloth or leaving to dry overnight.
    • MicroSpacer is also dishwasher safe (top rack).
  • Replacement.  Replace the MicroSpacer® every 4-6 months.
  • Multiple MicroSpacers.  It is recommended that if a patient is using more than one inhaler product that a separate MicroSpacer be used for each product. This is to avoid the possibility of different aerosol products mixing within the same MicroSpacer.

Doesn't seem to deliver meds quite as well as regular spacers. Also, product information said that each one includes a polybag for storage which would have been very handy. We ordered 6 and none of the 6 included a storage bag. We do like the small size for carrying in a purse or pocket, however.

Use several times a day, every day. Part of both my quality and quantity of life. Excellent product!

This is ok, but not quite sure it was what I was expecting.

I love the size of this spacer. It is perfect to carry in my purse along with my inhaler. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because both of the ones I have purchased have cracked and split from being put onto the inhaler mouthpiece. It does last for a while and the price is very reasonable, so I continue to purchase it because it is the right size for my purse.
It is very small, which is nice but it's too small to be functional. There isn't enough space for the medication. It ends up spaying the inside of the container and the back of the tongue.
These are amazing for in a purse or glove box, but they always split on me unless the mouthpiece is small. I changed to ProAir and these split after a week or so. I used Ventolin and I could get them to hold up, not split, only if I kept the on the inhaler all the time. They worked well for the round mouthpieces such as the yellow Proventil. I want so badly to love these that I keep buying them and even use duct tape to fix them xometimes....but the plastic need to accommodate the square mouthpiece such as Ventolin and ProAir. Also, they are quite pricy considering the plastic involved.
I needed to find a round spacer for my inhaler. This is perfect and so compact. It fits easily in my purse.
I have two of these. Perfect size. Effective without being cumbersome.
Bought this for my son to use with his inhaler at school. Its small size is easy for him to carry in his backpack. Will be ordering another one to carry in my purse.
Really helps get the medicine into your lungs without getting the powder too. Inhale slowly right after you spray the inhaler. I bought the last one for my friend. Takes a few times to get used to it for some people, but it really is great to actually get the medicine with out gaging and coughing it out before it can get into your lungs.
I really like the small size of this spacer. I had been carrying a larger one in my purse with my inhaler. This one is much smaller, but still has the benefits of the larger spacers. I still use the MicroChamber at home, though.
