Acu-Rite Digital Humidity Monitor & Thermometer

Science tells us that dust mites need high humidity to live and multiply in your bedroom and carpeting. Humidity over 55% is the "red zone." Dust mites love it! With the humidity under 50%, they slow down, and humidity under 40% actually kills and eliminates them altogether because it's too dry for them to survive (except in beds where it's always warm and humid due to your body. This is why bed encasings are so critical). So you can see why it's important to keep an accurate check on humidity levels in your home. Ordinary humidistats can be off by as much as 20% and can give false readings.

Our Acu-Rite digital monitor is a quality instrument that has been engineered to provide accurate humidity, temperature & time readings. And, it comes with an undetachable, 10’ long, weatherproof remote sensor so you can monitor outdoor temperature as well. Best of all, it has a large display that shows three readings… all at the same time! At the push of a button you can toggle the top panel to show the indoor temperature or the time of day. Panels two and three show the outdoor temperature and the indoor humidity level. Acu-Rite stores the maximum and minimum readings since the unit was last reset for both indoor and outdoor temperature as well as humidity. The display can be set to show the temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius and time in either 12-Hour or 24-Hour mode.
